Pre-Booking Instructions for an Outdoor Sauna and Splash Session

1. Health and Safety

• Consult with Your Doctor: If you have any health conditions (such as heart issues, respiratory conditions, high/low blood pressure, or if you're pregnant), consult your doctor before booking.
• Hydration: Drink plenty of water before, during, and after your session to stay hydrated.
• Avoid Alcohol: Alcohol consumption before or during the session is not allowed, as it can increase dehydration and dizziness.
• Know Your Limits: Saunas are meant to be relaxing, not a test of endurance. Listen to your body and exit if you feel lightheaded or uncomfortable.

2. Booking Requirements

• Age Restrictions: Guests must be over a specified age (e.g., 18 or 16) to use the sauna, or accompanied by a legal guardian if minors are allowed.
• Waiver and Liability: You’ll be required to sign a waiver before the session, acknowledging understanding of potential risks.
• Session Duration: Sessions are typically booked for a set time (e.g., 60 or 90 minutes). Exiting and re-entering the sauna is encouraged as needed.

3. What to Bring

• Swimwear: Please wear swimwear or appropriate sauna attire.
• Towel: Bring at least one towel to sit on in the sauna and one to dry off after your splash.
• Water Bottle: A refillable water bottle is recommended.
• Footwear: Waterproof sandals or flip-flops are recommended for moving between the sauna and splash areas.
• Warm Layers: For cooler weather, bring a robe or warm clothing to wear after the session.

4. Arrival and Check-In

• Arrival Time: Arrive 10-15 minutes before your booking time for check-in and a brief overview of the facilities.
• Late Arrivals: Please note that late arrivals may not be accommodated for extended sessions.
• Changing Facilities: Be prepared to change in designated areas. There may be limited space, so plan accordingly.

5. During the Session

• Temperature Control: You are welcome to adjust the temperature within the recommended range.
• Use of Water: Water may be poured on sauna rocks if permitted. If unsure, ask staff for guidance.
• Cold Splash: Alternate between the sauna and cold splash to enhance circulation and relaxation, but don’t stay too long in either if it feels uncomfortable.
• Personal Belongings: Please keep valuables safe, as the facility may not be responsible for lost or stolen items.

6. Post-Session Recommendations

• Cool Down Gradually: Allow yourself to cool down gradually to avoid dizziness. Take time to sit, hydrate, and rest.
• Hydrate: Drink water post-session to rehydrate.
• Avoid Strenuous Activity: Refrain from intense physical activities immediately after your session for optimal recovery.

7. Cancellation Policy

• Rescheduling: Please let us know at least 24 hours in advance if you need to reschedule.
• Weather Conditions: For safety, sessions may be rescheduled in case of extreme weather. You will be notified as early as possible.
